In the 2013 Nature’s Best – Windland Smith Rice International Awards, my photo of the three badgers under the night sky was “Highly Honored” in the Mammals category. The exhibition of the winning images and a selection of highly honored images will be on display in the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington DC in 2014.

I am just back from the GDT Nature Photography Festival in Lünen and I am very happy to announce that my photo “Badgers under Starry Sky” has been awarded “Highly commended” in the Mammals Category.

In the latest issue of the French Nature Magazine “Nat’Images” n°21, you can find a short article where I show some examples on how to make creative nature and animal photos in the field by means of in-camera multi-exposures. The article has been refined by illustrations of Stéphane Hette. Enjoy !
The results of the Glanzlichter Nature Photography Competition 2013 have been published. 18.450 pictures of 1.149 photographers have been entered this year. I am very happy to announce that two of my photographs have been awarded.
The photo “Geschwindigkeit ist relativ” has been awarded the All-Over Winner of the competition and my picture “Unterm Grossen Wagen” has been awarded a Highlight in the World of Mammals Category.
The winning ceremony will take place on the “15. Internationale Fürstenfelder Naturfototage” Festival in Fürstenfeldbruck (D) from 9 to 12 Mai 2013.
